Ruthie Joins a Death Cult

Ruthie Ramos is a lonely young 30-something who is sweet, earnest, and a bit pathetic. She lives alone and works a terrible customer service job, and has a difficult time making friends as an adult. One night, Ruthie meets two friendly women who introduce her to a group of people who call themselves The Ascension. Ruthie’s naivety initially blinds her to the fact that this is a death cult, and she soon learns just how far she is willing to go for friendship.
